Wood floor fitters in Wanstead

1. Survey and moisture checkBefore we order, we measure up and test the subfloor for moisture. Concrete and screed must be dry enough, timber boards must be sound, and damp proofing is added where it is needed.
2. Subfloor preparationUneven or damaged subfloors are levelled and repaired first. The boards come in on day one and acclimatise in the room while the preparation is done.
3. The right fitting methodThe method depends on the subfloor. We glue down over concrete and underfloor heating, use a floating installation over the right underlay where that suits, and secret-nail onto timber. Herringbone and parquet blocks are always glued down.
4. Skirting, trims and thresholdsSkirting boards, thresholds, trims and stair nosings are fitted to match, so the room looks finished from start to finish.
5. AftercareEach floor we fit is covered by our 12-month seasonal warranty, which follows the floor through every season before it is signed off.
