Why LIGNORA

Surrey's Wood Flooring
Specialists

Surrey's housing stock ranges from Victorian terraces in Kingston and Wimbledon to sprawling countryside homes in Esher and Cobham — each with different subfloor characteristics, aesthetics, and requirements. LIGNORA supplies floors right across the county, giving us practical knowledge of Surrey homes that a generic flooring company simply cannot offer.

We deliver across the full county — North Surrey bordering London through to the Surrey Hills and South Surrey — with the same boards and the same care for a Guildford cottage as for a Kingston townhouse.

Covering All of Surrey

From Kingston and Surbiton in the north to Guildford, Dorking, and Reigate in the south — LIGNORA delivers to every part of Surrey, with free samples posted first.

Engineered Floors for Surrey Homes

Many Surrey properties have the benefit of space — and we love supplying wide-plank and herringbone floors in the generous rooms that Surrey homes offer. Engineered oak is the most popular choice across the county.

Countryside & Character Properties

Surrey has some of England's finest character homes. We have experience working with stone and flagstone subfloors, barn conversions, and listed buildings — each requiring a specific approach.

High-End Homes, Honest Pricing

Surrey homeowners deserve competitive prices without compromising on quality. LIGNORA's direct supply chain means we can offer luxury-grade products at prices that may surprise you.

Wood floor installation in Surrey

Many customers in Surrey order supply only and have their own fitter lay the floor. If you'd like us to fit it, tell us about your project. These are the steps we recommend for any installation.

Survey and moisture checkMeasure every room and moisture-test the subfloor before ordering. A screed or slab that is too damp needs damp proofing first.
Subfloor preparationLevel and repair the subfloor and add a damp-proof membrane or primer where needed. Let the boards acclimatise in the room for two to three days before fitting.
The right fitting methodChoose the method for the subfloor: glue-down over concrete and underfloor heating, floating installation over the right underlay, or secret nailing onto timber. Herringbone and parquet blocks should be glued down.
Skirting, trims and thresholdsFinish with matching skirting boards, thresholds, trims and stair nosings. We can supply these with your floor.
Specification in writingWe put the recommended adhesive, underlay and fitting method in writing with your quote, so your fitter has everything they need.

Ask Us Anything →

Do you deliver to all of Surrey?

What wood flooring suits Surrey homes?

Engineered wood flooring is the most popular and practical choice for Surrey homes. It handles seasonal humidity changes better than solid wood, works over underfloor heating, and lasts decades with proper care. Our Signature and Prime Grade collections are most requested in Surrey.

Can I use my own fitter?

Yes. We'll recommend the right adhesive, underlay and trims for your subfloor, and send the technical sheets your fitter needs before the floor arrives.

How much does wood flooring cost in Surrey?

Costs in Surrey depend on the floor, the pattern and the quantity. LIGNORA provides a fully itemised written quote with delivery included — no surprises, no hidden costs.

How do I order samples?

Order free samples from any product page and we post them to any address in Surrey. Compare two or three side by side in your own light, then send us your room sizes for a written quote.
