Every order comes with full care and fitting guidance. Lead times from 2–3 weeks for pre-finished stock; 8 weeks for bespoke made-to-order floors.

Common Questions

Do you deliver to Henley On Thames?

Yes. We deliver the full collection to Henley On Thames and across Berkshire by pallet, with free samples posted first. Want it fitted too? Tell us about your project and we'll talk you through the options. We respond to every enquiry within one working day.

Is the floor compatible with underfloor heating?

The short answer for Henley-on-Thames homes is yes: engineered oak performs reliably over underfloor heating. 14–18mm is the sweet spot, thick enough to feel solid yet thin enough to conduct heat well. Solid wood is the one thing we rule out, and we confirm every spec in writing before you order.

Can I use my own fitter?

Yes. We'll recommend the right adhesive, underlay and trims for your subfloor, and send the technical sheets your fitter needs before the floor arrives.

Henley-on-Thames homes and their floors

Henley-on-Thames has Georgian townhouses and Victorian properties around Hart Street and the Market Place, large riverside houses along the Thames famous for the Royal Regatta, and executive homes in surrounding villages such as Harpsden and Remenham.

Many town-centre buildings are listed, suiting reclaimed or wide boards. Riverside homes need careful moisture testing and a membrane on solid floors. Larger houses often have extensions with underfloor heating, suiting glued engineered oak.

Wood floor installation in Henley On Thames

Many customers in Henley On Thames order supply only and have their own fitter lay the floor. If you'd like us to fit it, tell us about your project. These are the steps we recommend for any installation.

Survey and moisture checkCheck the subfloor for moisture before the floor is ordered. Concrete and screed must be dry enough, and timber boards must be sound.
Subfloor preparationLevel and repair the subfloor and add a damp-proof membrane or primer where needed. Let the boards acclimatise in the room for two to three days before fitting.
The right fitting methodChoose the method for the subfloor: glue-down over concrete and underfloor heating, floating installation over the right underlay, or secret nailing onto timber. Herringbone and parquet blocks should be glued down.
Skirting, trims and thresholdsFinish with matching skirting boards, thresholds, trims and stair nosings. We can supply these with your floor.
Specification in writingEvery engineered board we supply is suitable for underfloor heating, and we confirm the adhesive and underlay for your subfloor in writing.

Engineered oak is the floor we are asked for most in Henley On Thames. The surface is solid sawn oak; the core underneath keeps the boards flat and stable through heated winters, so it suits period houses, extensions and new builds alike. There are 103 oak floors to choose from.
