Antique Brown Hard is an engineered European oak floor, supplied at 14mm × 190mm × 1900mm in antique grade. In tone it reads as a rich, warm brown oak with plenty of depth. The antique brown hard wax oiled finish sets its character underfoot. Suitable for underfloor heating, it is laid board by board by our own installation team across London and the South East.

At 190mm wide, the boards show the timber in generous, unhurried lengths. Antique grading leans into the timber's history — knots, shakes and colour play that make the floor read as if it has been down for decades.

The finish, and living with it A floor is its finish as much as its tone: here the antique brown hard wax oiled treatment sets how Antique Brown Hard handles daily life. Hardwax oil gives the warmth of an oiled floor with tougher day-to-day resistance; worn areas can be refreshed locally without sanding the whole room.

Engineered construction keeps the boards stable through central heating and seasonal swings, and the wear layer is thick enough to be re-finished when, years from now, it has earned it.

Rooms it suits, and the next step We fit it most often through living spaces, kitchens and hallways — the rooms that have to look good under real use. See more on our wide plank flooring in London page. It belongs to the Signature Collection. If you are shortlisting, put Distressed Driftwood Grey and Golden Oak beside it for comparison.

Before anything is ordered, see it at home — a free sample of Antique Brown Hard is the reliable test.
