Walnut 20mm Engineered Walnut Plank, 190mm wide, oiled

This is the oiled version of our 20mm walnut: American black walnut, 190mm wide, with a UV oil that gives a soft, natural matt look and a slightly cooler, greyer brown than the lacquered board. The oil can be touched up in place. It suits living rooms, bedrooms and studies where you want walnut to look as natural as possible. Like every engineered floor we sell, Walnut can go over underfloor heating, and our own installation team fits it in London and the surrounding counties.

The 190mm × 1860mm board gives this floor long, uninterrupted lines: roughly 57 boards cover 20 m². Expect occasional knots and some colour variation in this floor; classic grade keeps both moderate.

The finish, and living with it A floor is its finish as much as its tone: here the walnut UV oiled treatment sets how Walnut handles daily life. Oil gives this floor a matt, natural surface. It needs a little more care than lacquer, and repays it by being repairable in patches.

The 4mm walnut layer on this floor is thick enough to be sanded and re-finished; beneath it, the engineered core resists seasonal movement.

Rooms it suits, and the next step Most people choose Walnut for the ground floor: hall, kitchen and living space in one continuous run. See wide plank flooring in London for the wider range that this floor belongs to. You will find this floor in the Signature Collection. If you are shortlisting, put Distressed Black and Hazelnut Brown Oak Wide Plank beside it for comparison.
