Walnut Herringbone is an engineered European oak floor, supplied at 14mm × 125mm × 600mm in select grade. In tone it reads as a rich, warm brown oak with plenty of depth. The walnut herringbone UV lacquered finish sets its character underfoot. Suitable for underfloor heating, it is laid board by board by our own installation team across London and the South East.
Herringbone rewards patience in the laying, and these 125mm blocks are cut for exactly that — crisp points, tight joints, a floor with rhythm. Select grading keeps the surface refined — small, tight knots and even colour, a step calmer than classic without prime's austerity.
The finish, and living with it A floor is its finish as much as its tone: here the walnut herringbone UV lacquered treatment sets how Walnut Herringbone handles daily life. A lacquered surface seals the timber, so day-to-day care is simply a vacuum and a damp — never wet — mop with a pH-neutral wood cleaner.
It stands up well to real family life; deeper wear in later years is dealt with by re-finishing rather than patching. Underfloor heating is no obstacle — the boards are rated for it and hold their shape as the seasons turn.
Rooms it suits, and the next step We fit it most often through hallways, reception rooms and kitchens — anywhere the pattern can run and be seen. See more on our herringbone flooring in London page. It belongs to the Signature Collection. If you are shortlisting, put Natural Oak and Smoke Stain Oak beside it for comparison.
Before anything is ordered, see it at home — a free sample of Walnut Herringbone is the reliable test.
