Supplied at 15mm × 220mm × 2200mm, Distressed Invisible is an engineered European oak floor in antique grade. In tone it reads as a true natural oak tone — the timber as it wants to be seen. The distressed invisible finish sets its character underfoot. Suitable for underfloor heating, it is laid board by board by our own installation team across London and the South East.
At 220mm wide, the boards show the timber in generous, unhurried lengths. Antique grading leans into the timber's history — knots, shakes and colour play that make the floor read as if it has been down for decades.
The finish, and living with it A floor is its finish as much as its tone: here the distressed invisible treatment sets how Distressed Invisible handles daily life. A lacquered surface seals the timber, so day-to-day care is simply a vacuum and a damp — never wet — mop with a pH-neutral wood cleaner.
It stands up well to real family life; deeper wear in later years is dealt with by re-finishing rather than patching. Underfloor heating is no obstacle — the boards are rated for it and hold their shape as the seasons turn.
Rooms it suits, and the next step We fit it most often through living spaces, kitchens and hallways — the rooms that have to look good under real use. See more on our wide plank flooring in London page. It belongs to the Signature Collection. If you are shortlisting, put Twilight Smoked Oak and Cotton White Oak beside it for comparison.
Before anything is ordered, see it at home — a free sample of Distressed Invisible is the reliable test.
