Deep Brown Herringbone Engineered Oak Flooring

Deep Brown Herringbone is a genuinely reclaimed European oak herringbone block, supplied at 70mm × 350mm · 20mm thick in reclaimed grade, carrying the patina and marks of age. In tone it reads as a warm, deep brown oak with plenty of depth.

The hardwax oiled finish is easy to live with and can be refreshed or spot-repaired in place rather than fully re-sanded. Suitable for underfloor heating, it is set into a herringbone pattern by our own installation team across London and the South East.

Some floors photograph well and disappoint underfoot; Deep Brown Herringbone — Reclaimed Oak does the opposite — it gets better the longer you live on it. The surface carries its years lightly: worn smooth where hands and feet have been, textured where they have not.

This is salvaged, not styled — the nail holes, patina and uneven tone are decades old and arrive with the boards. Laid as reclaimed oak, hand-graded board by board, it turns the floor itself into the room’s main design move.

Because the oil penetrates the wood, repairs stay small — treat the worn spot, not the whole floor.

Routine care is a soap-clean and, in the busiest rooms, an occasional feed of maintenance oil. The construction keeps it stable over underfloor heating and through winter-to-summer humidity swings alike.
