Character Warm Rustic Herringbone Engineered Oak Flooring

Character Warm Rustic Herringbone is a genuinely reclaimed European oak herringbone block, supplied at 70mm × 350mm · 20mm thick in reclaimed grade, carrying the patina and marks of age. In tone it reads as a balanced mid-brown oak with rustic character.

The hardwax oiled finish is easy to live with and can be refreshed or spot-repaired in place rather than fully re-sanded. Suitable for underfloor heating, it is set into a herringbone pattern by our own installation team across London and the South East.

Warm Rustic Herringbone — Reclaimed Oak is the kind of floor you choose by standing on it, not by scrolling past it. It walks the way old floors do — settled, solid, slightly irregular in the best sense. This is a rustic grade, so expect open knots, mineral streaks and genuine variety from board to board — the character is the point. The format — reclaimed oak, hand-graded board by board — brings pattern and rhythm that plank floors cannot.

Finish & everyday care The aged and sealed finish is doing quiet work here: protection first, but tuned so the oak still looks like oak. Oil sits in the timber rather than on it, which makes upkeep local: a scuffed patch takes a rub of maintenance oil, not a whole-room re-sand.

Clean with a wood-floor soap and re-oil high-traffic zones when they start to look thirsty. It is suitable over underfloor heating, and stable through the seasonal swings that trouble ordinary solid timber.
