Chestnut Oak is a rich reddish chestnut brown with warm, pronounced grain.
It is a traditional tone done properly, and it belongs in period rooms, libraries and dining rooms where warmth and depth are the point. It pairs naturally with antique furniture. Whether you prefer the knots and movement of Rustic or the restraint of Prime, the tone holds true across every grade.
Chestnut Oak is supplied as a bespoke engineered European oak floor, made to order in wide-plank widths up to 300mm and as herringbone blocks. Every board is rated for underfloor heating, backed by a 25-year structural warranty, and made in Britain from FSC- and PEFC-certified timber. Order free swatch samples to see Chestnut Oak in your own light before you commit. Each board is built on a dimensionally stable multi-ply core beneath a thick European-oak wear layer, so the floor stays flat over heated subfloors and can be sanded and refinished in years to come.
Because Chestnut Oak is a bespoke colour, the finish is yours to specify as well — brushed, oiled or matt-lacquered, each giving a different level of sheen and texture underfoot. An oiled finish is the right specification here — lacquer tends to flatten the red out of the colour. We can also fine-tune the depth of tone to match an existing floor, a piece of furniture or a specific reference, and we finish on site where needed so the final colour reads correctly in your own light. To get started, order a free sample or book a home visit and we'll bring the range to you.
