Mushroom Oak is a soft taupe-greige: a grey-brown with gentle warmth and flowing cathedral grain. It is neither cold grey nor brown, which makes it one of the most adaptable tones we make.
Where it worksIt suits modern townhouses, flats with grey kitchens and bedrooms in muted colour schemes. Brushed brass, black steel and oatmeal fabrics all look good on it.

Taupe floors are very good at hiding dust and pet hair. Matt lacquer keeps the cool greige exact; oil gives a slightly softer, warmer look.
Mushroom Oak is supplied as a bespoke engineered European oak floor, made to order in plank widths of 190mm, 260mm and 320mm and as herringbone blocks. It is rated for underfloor heating, backed by a 25-year structural warranty and made in Britain from FSC- and PEFC-certified timber. The multi-ply core keeps the boards flat and stable, and the 4–5mm oak wear layer can be sanded and refinished in years to come.
