Dove Grey Oak is an engineered European oak floor, supplied at 14mm × 190mm × 1900mm in rustic grade, full of natural movement. In tone it reads as a cool, contemporary grey-toned oak. The brushed, matt lacquered finish is hard-wearing and low-maintenance, well suited to busy homes. Suitable for underfloor heating, it is laid plank by plank by our own installation team across London and the South East.
Some floors photograph well and disappoint underfoot; Dove Grey Oak does the opposite — it gets better the longer you live on it. Underfoot, the brushing opens the grain so you feel the timber, not a coating.
This is graded rustic, which means the knots and mineral streaks stay in; the boards are meant to differ, and that variety is what makes the floor feel real. Laid as 190mm wide planks, it makes modest rooms feel wider and calmer.
Surface, upkeep, honesty Finish matters as much as colour, and the matt-lacquered treatment on Dove Grey Oak is chosen for how it ages, not just how it looks on day one. Lacquer forms a sealed wear layer: spills wipe up, and the routine is nothing more than a vacuum and a barely-damp mop with a neutral cleaner.
Years down the line it re-finishes as a whole surface rather than patch by patch. The construction keeps it stable over underfloor heating and through winter-to-summer humidity swings alike.
The rooms, and the decision From front door to kitchen island it copes with real family traffic; only full bathrooms need a conversation first. You can see this width across whole rooms on our wide plank flooring in London page. You will find it in the Signature Collection.
Worth comparing before you decide: Black Pearl Oak is its nearest neighbour in tone, while Natural Oak UV Lacquered shows how far the Signature Collection can travel.
