Mocha Oak is an engineered European oak floor, supplied at 14mm × 190mm × 1900mm in rustic grade, full of natural movement. In tone it reads as a warm, deep brown oak with plenty of depth. The brushed, matt lacquered finish is hard-wearing and low-maintenance, well suited to busy homes. Suitable for underfloor heating, it is laid plank by plank by our own installation team across London and the South East.
Mocha Oak earns its place the slow way — morning light, bare feet, ten thousand ordinary days. Underfoot, the brushing opens the grain so you feel the timber, not a coating. This is a rustic grade, so expect open knots, mineral streaks and genuine variety from board to board — the character is the point. The 190mm wide planks format is the quiet decision here — it opens smaller rooms and settles larger ones.
The finish, and living with it A floor is its finish as much as its tone: here the matt-lacquered treatment sets how Mocha Oak handles daily life. A lacquered surface seals the timber, so day-to-day care is simply a vacuum and a damp — never wet — mop with a pH-neutral wood cleaner.
It resists spills well; deeper wear in later years is dealt with by re-finishing rather than patching. Underfloor heating is no obstacle here; the boards are rated for it and hold their shape as the seasons turn.
Rooms it suits, and the next step We fit it most often through living spaces, kitchens and hallways — the rooms that have to look good under real use. You can see this width across whole rooms on our wide plank flooring in London page. It belongs to the Signature Collection. If you are shortlisting, put Natural Oak UV Lacquered beside it for a warmer/cooler comparison, and Natural Oak Brushed Oiled for contrast.
Before anything is ordered, see it at home — a free sample of Mocha Oak is the reliable test.
