Scandinavian Natural Oak is an engineered European oak floor, supplied at 14mm × 190mm × 1900mm in classic grade, with gentle knots and character. In tone it reads as a soft, pale Nordic oak tone. The brushed, hardwax oiled finish is easy to live with and can be refreshed or spot-repaired in place rather than fully re-sanded. Suitable for underfloor heating, it is laid plank by plank by our own installation team across London and the South East.
On paper Scandinavian Natural Oak is a specification. In a room, it sets the temperature of everything around it. What you feel is oak; what keeps it behaving through the seasons is the engineered board beneath. This is a classic grade: gentle knots and a balanced, even spread of grain that reads calm without feeling sterile. As 190mm wide planks, it gives fewer joints and longer sight-lines than narrow boards.
Finish & everyday care On Scandinavian Natural Oak the oiled surface is the part you will be grateful for in year five — it decides how the floor wears, cleans and mellows. Because the oil penetrates the wood, repairs stay small — treat the worn spot, not the whole floor.
Routine care is a soap-clean and, in the busiest rooms, an occasional feed of maintenance oil. It runs happily over underfloor heating — see the specification above — and stays flat through the heating season.
Where it works — and what to do next Hallways, kitchens, sitting rooms, whole ground floors — this is a floor for the rooms you actually use; ask us before specifying it in a bathroom. If long, uninterrupted boards are the goal, our wide plank flooring in London page shows this format across full projects. It sits within the Signature Collection.
Worth comparing before you decide: Dove Grey Oak is its nearest neighbour in tone, while Natural Oak UV Lacquered shows how far the Signature Collection can travel.
