Black Pearl Oak Engineered Wood Flooring

Black Pearl Oak is an engineered European oak floor, supplied at 14mm × 190mm × 1900mm in rustic grade, full of natural movement. In tone it reads as a deep, near-black oak with real presence. The brushed, hardwax oiled finish is easy to live with and can be refreshed or spot-repaired in place rather than fully re-sanded. Suitable for underfloor heating, it is laid plank by plank by our own installation team across London and the South East.

There is a reason Black Pearl Oak keeps appearing on shortlists: it flatters the room without asking to be noticed. Underfoot, the brushing opens the grain so you feel the timber, not a coating. This is left rustic on purpose: open knots and mineral marks stay in, and the floor is livelier for it. In 190mm wide planks, the floor reads generous even in narrow plots — half the design work done at specification.

The finish, and living with it Tone gets the attention; the oiled finish does the work, deciding how Black Pearl Oak cleans, scuffs and softens over the years. Because the oil penetrates the wood, repairs stay small — treat the worn spot, not the whole floor. Routine care is a soap-clean and, in the busiest rooms, an occasional feed of maintenance oil. Warm-water underfloor systems suit it well — the spec panel above carries the rating — and seasonal movement stays where it belongs: invisible.
