Ashdown Oak Engineered Wood Flooring

Ashdown Oak is an engineered European oak floor, supplied at 14mm × 190mm × 1900mm in classic grade, with gentle knots and character. In tone it reads as a characterful oak tone with natural movement and grain variation.

The brushed, hardwax oiled finish is easy to live with and can be refreshed or spot-repaired in place rather than fully re-sanded. Suitable for underfloor heating, it is laid plank by plank by our own installation team across London and the South East.

Rooms change around a floor like Ashdown Oak; it is the one surface every plan, paint chart and furniture order eventually answers to. Underfoot, the brushing opens the grain so you feel the timber, not a coating. This is a classic grade: gentle knots and a balanced, even spread of grain that reads calm without feeling sterile. Finish & everyday care What ages a floor is rarely the oak — it is the surface. The oiled finish here is picked for the long game. Oil sits in the timber rather than on it, which makes upkeep local: a scuffed patch takes a rub of maintenance oil, not a whole-room re-sand.

Clean with a wood-floor soap and re-oil high-traffic zones when they start to look thirsty. Rated for underfloor heating and unbothered by central heating’s dry months, it holds flat where solid boards would move.
