Midnight Black is a deep, near-black oak — dramatic and ebonised, yet finished so the grain still reads through the colour. It is the boldest tone in the range, creating striking contrast and a real sense of definition underfoot.
Midnight Black makes a statement. Darker floors like this anchor a room and frame lighter furniture and walls, and they look their best in well-lit, larger spaces where the depth of tone can be fully appreciated. Specify it in Rustic for maximum character, Character for a balanced natural look, or Prime for a calmer, more consistent grain.
Midnight Black is supplied as a bespoke engineered European oak floor, made to order in wide-plank widths up to 300mm and as herringbone blocks. Every board is rated for underfloor heating, backed by a 25-year structural warranty, and made in Britain from FSC- and PEFC-certified timber. Request a free sample and we'll send Midnight Black out to view in the room it's destined for. Each board is built on a dimensionally stable multi-ply core beneath a thick European-oak wear layer, so the floor stays flat over heated subfloors and can be sanded and refinished in years to come.
Because Midnight Black is a bespoke colour, the finish is yours to specify as well — brushed, oiled or matt-lacquered, each giving a different level of sheen and texture underfoot. We can also fine-tune the depth of tone to match an existing floor, a piece of furniture or a specific reference, and we finish on site where needed so the final colour reads correctly in your own light. To get started, order a free sample or book a home visit and we'll bring the range to you.
