Herringbone — White Oiled is an engineered European oak herringbone block, supplied at 14mm × 90mm × 450mm in prime grade, for a tighter, more uniform look. In tone it reads as a pale, whitened oak tone that lifts and brightens a room.
The white hardwax oiled finish is easy to live with and can be refreshed or spot-repaired in place rather than fully re-sanded. Suitable for underfloor heating, it is set into a herringbone pattern by our own installation team across London and the South East.
There is a reason Herringbone White Oiled 90×450 — Engineered Oak keeps appearing on shortlists: it flatters the room without asking to be noticed. It feels like solid oak underfoot, with the dimensional stability of engineered construction underneath.
This is prime AB: clean-faced boards with the occasional pin knot to remind you it grew in a forest. In 90×450mm herringbone blocks, the floor adds movement without adding colour — half the design work done at specification.
The finish, and living with it Tone gets the attention; the white-oiled finish does the work, deciding how Herringbone White Oiled 90×450 — Engineered Oak cleans, scuffs and softens over the years. Think of oil as feeding the timber rather than coating it.
Marks blend out with a cloth and maintenance oil; the floor never needs stripping back to bare wood to look new again. Warm-water underfloor systems suit it well — the spec panel above carries the rating — and seasonal movement stays where it belongs: invisible.
Rooms it suits, and the next step From front door to kitchen island it copes with real family traffic; only full bathrooms need a conversation first. Pattern floors live or die by the setting-out; see how our herringbone flooring installers in London approach it. It sits within the Design Collection.
Its natural rivals: Herringbone Invisible Finish Prime Grade 143X600 in the same register, Herringbone Invisible Finish Prime Ab 90X450 if the room wants to go further.
