Supplied at 14mm × 90mm × 400mm, Arden Riviera is an engineered European oak floor in classic grade. In tone it reads as a true natural oak tone — the timber as it wants to be seen. The light smoked, brushed, handscraped & wax oiled finish sets its character underfoot. Suitable for underfloor heating, it is laid board by board by our own installation team across London and the South East.
Laid in herringbone, the 90mm blocks catch light in two directions at once — the pattern does half the decorating for you. Classic grade sits in the middle of the tree's character — some knots and movement, but measured, so the floor feels natural without shouting.
The finish, and living with it A floor is its finish as much as its tone: here the light smoked, brushed, handscraped & wax oiled treatment sets how Arden Riviera handles daily life. Hardwax oil gives the warmth of an oiled floor with tougher day-to-day resistance; worn areas can be refreshed locally without sanding the whole room.
Engineered construction keeps the boards stable through central heating and seasonal swings, and the wear layer is thick enough to be re-finished when, years from now, it has earned it.
Rooms it suits, and the next step We fit it most often through hallways, reception rooms and kitchens — anywhere the pattern can run and be seen. See more on our herringbone flooring in London page. It belongs to the Timeless Line. If you are shortlisting, put Arden Scandinavian and Arden Sunrise beside it for comparison.
Before anything is ordered, see it at home — a free sample of Arden Riviera is the reliable test.
