Arden Natural is an engineered European oak herringbone floor, cut at 14mm × 90mm × 400mm and graded classic. In tone it reads as a true natural oak tone — the timber as it wants to be seen. The brushed & UV oiled finish sets its character underfoot. Suitable for underfloor heating, it is laid board by board by our own installation team across London and the South East.
Herringbone rewards patience in the laying, and these 90mm blocks are cut for exactly that — crisp points, tight joints, a floor with rhythm. Classic grade sits in the middle of the tree's character — some knots and movement, but measured, so the floor feels natural without shouting.
The finish, and living with it A floor is its finish as much as its tone: here the brushed & UV oiled treatment sets how Arden Natural handles daily life. An oiled surface feeds the timber rather than coating it, so the grain stays open to the touch; maintenance is an occasional re-oil in the areas that work hardest.
Engineered construction keeps the boards stable through central heating and seasonal swings, and the wear layer is thick enough to be re-finished when, years from now, it has earned it.
Rooms it suits, and the next step We fit it most often through hallways, reception rooms and kitchens — anywhere the pattern can run and be seen. See more on our herringbone flooring in London page. It belongs to the Timeless Line. If you are shortlisting, put Arden Scandinavian and Delamere Heritage beside it for comparison.
Before anything is ordered, see it at home — a free sample of Arden Natural is the reliable test.
